- 19: MARK HUFF
Singer-Songwriter Roots Rock.

1. What’s in the name/what’s in the title?
Gravity is really just a metaphor. Nothing can really hold us down. Only gravity.
2. What’s your first musical memory?
When I was seven years old my older brother and his friend were playing the Beatles Rubber Soul. My brother was learning to play the guitar. I started taking drum lessons soon after.
3. First cd/lp you bought?
Probably the Beatles Revolver or Led Zeppelin II. I was about eight years old.
4. At which moment did you decide that your music had to be heard?
I started playing in bands as a teenager. Seeing and playing with punk bands that had their own records made me realize it was possible to do it. That’s when I focused on song writing.
5. What was the biggest musical step you took so far?
Going out on the road with Allison Moorer. Supporting her for four months playing all over the
U.S.
6. Biggest wish?
To write more songs and make more records.
7. Best concert you ever saw?
Bob Dylan in 1992. I opened the show and watched his set from the side of the stage. After the show I got to spend some time talking with him and hanging out.
8. Who would you chose to sing “Love Hurts” with (and you can’t ask for Emmylou)?
Patti Smith
9. It’s the end of the world and everybody knows it and they ask you to sing
one more song for the whole wide world ! Which one are going to pick?
My Funny Valentine
10. What’s up for the next couple of months?
Trying to get my new CD Gravity released on a European label and touring as much as possible.
